With a passion to provide superior client representation and to ensure that justice is served, Richard H. Sirjoo founded his legal practice, Richard H. Sirjoo & Co., in 1995 on the principles of caring, professionalism and quality.
Over the past two decades, Richard has also established a powerful reputation as a businessman and philanthropist with a vested interest in the development of the Chaguanas community. In addition to his private practice as an attorney, Richard holds the following positions:
- Director on the Board of the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce where he was Past President [2000 – 2002].
- Chairman of the Crime and Public Safety Committee on the Board of the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
- President of the Chaguanas Lions Club and has held other posts including Director
- Board Member of Presentation College Chaguanas, serving on the School’s Management and Advisory Committee.

A past student of Presentation College, Chaguanas, Richard holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons) from the University of the West Indies, a Post Graduate Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School and a Masters in Business Administration from the UWI Institute of Business. In his spare time, he favors East Indian Music, Bhajans, movies and reading.

Mrs. Debbie Juman is an associate at Richard H. Sirjoo & Co., having joined the firm in March, 2018. Mrs. Juman graduated from the University of London with her Bachelor’s Degree in Law with Honours in 2016. Thereafter, she completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC) with Distinction in 2017.
Mrs. Juman joined Richard H. Sirjoo & Co., as an intern in March, 2018 having successfully completed her 6 months’ attachment with the firm. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience having been previously employed at the Registrar General’s Department in the Ministry of the Attorney General & Legal Affairs for almost a decade.
Mrs. Juman was admitted to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago as an Attorney-at-Law on 11th May, 2018 and practices in Civil Litigation, Conveyancing and Family Law. She is involved in research, drafting of pleadings, preparation of procedural documents and witness statements, preparation of Opinions on Liability, Quantum and Evidence.
Mrs. Juman appears at the Magistrates Court, Industrial Court and the High Court and also acts as both Instructing and Advocate Attorney.

Ms. Guiness is the newest member of the firm, joining after completing her legal studies in July, 2020. She achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Law with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies in July, 2018. She then attained her Legal Education Certificate in September, 2020, graduating on the Principal’s Roll of Honour at the Hugh Wooding Law School, where she also demonstrated her leadership skills after serving as her class representative.
Ms. Guiness engaged in her in-service training for the period June, 2019 to August, 2019 at Richard H. Sirjoo & Co. She was admitted to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago as an Attorney-at-Law on 11th December, 2020 and practises in Civil Litigation, Estates and Family Law matters at the firm.

Ms. Ramdass is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with Honours. Thereafter, she completed her Legal Education Certificate (LEC) at the Hugh Wooding Law School (HWLS). At the HWLS she was also the recipient of the Keith Sobion award for demonstrated leadership and innovation.
Ms. Ramdass continues her academic pursuits with a Masters in Sports Law at De Montfort University, Leicester, England.
She was admitted to practise as an Attorney-at-Law in Trinidad and Tobago in November, 2017.
Ms. Ramdass trained at Richard H. Sirjoo & Co., for her in-service training in June – August 2016, and joined the firm in July 2017, initially as an intern. She practises in the areas of Civil Litigation, Estate, Conveyancing, Family Law and in Magistrates’ Court matters.
Ms. Ramdass is a sports enthusiast. She enjoys both watching and playing various sports, including cricket, football and badminton. She also has an interest in community development and social work. She is actively involved in the Zaheer Ali Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on youth development.
Mrs. Aziz has been with the firm for over 15 years and brings with her a wealth of experience. Her meticulous nature and hands on approach promotes a fluid and professional dispensation of legal services.
Ms. Thomas has been with the firm for approximately 12 years, her attention to detail and expertise in accounting renders her an invaluable asset to the firm. Her easy-going nature and ready smile, promotes excellent customer relations.
Mrs. Samaroo brings to the firm over 4 decades of experience in the management and operations of law offices. Her passionate and practical insight adds tremendous value to the firm, always seeking innovative and creative ways to improve and enhance efficiency, productivity and office comradery. In addition to Ms. Samaroo’s role of Office Manager, she is also a licensed Commissioner of Affidavits.
Mr. Pitt joined the firm in July, 2020 as a Law Clerk. In addition to his portfolio of Law Clerk, Mr. Pitt is actively involved in the Real Estate Department of the firm. In this short time, Mr. Pitt has demonstrated a heightened sense of proficiency in the execution of his duties. He is always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. A true team player, we continue to expect great things from him in the future.
